Compaq Millennium G200 (8 MB) AGP Video Card - Millennium G200 is Matrox's most powerful graphics card for professional business graphics. This AGP 2X uses 8MB SGRAM and the new MGA-G200 128-bit DualBus graphics chip to provide advanced 2D, 3D and video acceleration. It can be upgraded to 16MB SGRAM. ??This graphics card supports AGP level 2X, which includes direct memory execute mode and sidebands. A sideband is an additional data path to the system memory apart from the main bus. Sidebanding lets the graphics processor line up new data requests as the main bus continues to gather data. Direct memory execute goes straight to the system memory for textures and pulls them directly into the graphics processor. These two technologies increase the AGP bandwidth and speed up data transfers.
