This high-end graphics card is made for advanced 3D CAD/CAM, visualization, animation and simulation applications. ??Built around the Mitsubishi 3DPro/2mp processor, the Diamond Fire GL 4000 is capable of rendering up to 2 million polygons per second. Its base configuration includes 15MB of high-speed 3D-RAM display memory and 4MB CDRAM. The Fire GL 4000 supports a max 1280x1024 resolution and refresh rates up to 120Hz, with 16.7 million colors at 1280x1024 at 85Hz refresh. Designers can enhance 3D visualization and simulation projects by plugging their StereoGraphics 3D shutter glasses into the built-in connection. The Fire GL 4000 is compatible with Windows NT 3.51 and 4.0, and accelerates OpenGL and HEIDI applications. It supports leading applications and software such as Advanced Visual Systems AVS Express, Autodesk AutoCAD r12/13, and Microsoft's Softimage.
